2023 Vermont Emergency Preparedness Conference

Registration is now open for the 2023 Vermont Emergency Preparedness Conference – September 20th – 21st, 2023 at Burke Mountain Hotel & Conference Center in East Burke. 2023 VEPC Registration Limited rooms are available at discounted rates of $96-$192 per night, plus a $15/night resort fee.  To access these rooms, please contact Burke Reservations at 1-866-966-4820 and note that you are staying as part of the Vermont Emergency Preparedness Conference. The Call for Speakers is now open. Sessions will be 45 minutes, with limited sessions available virtually. Those who are interested must submit their proposals by end of day Friday, July 7th. The Call for Exhibitors is now open. Indoor exhibitors will have a table, 2 chairs, and power.  Limited options exist for outdoor exhibitors on the patio.  Those who are interested must submit their proposals by end of day Friday, July 7th. Do you know of an outstanding local Emergency Management Director? Vermont Emergency Management is seeking nominations for the 2023 Emergency Management Director of the Year.  The recipient will be recognized at the Vermont Emergency Preparedness Conference for demonstrating excellence in the local Emergency Management Director role. Nominations must be received by noon on Tuesday, August 1st to be considered.  To be eligible, a nominee must: •  Have been a duly appointed Emergency Management Director for their town/city at some point between August 1, 2022 and August 1, 2023. •  Be from a town/city with a current Local Emergency Management Plan on file with Vermont Emergency Management. •  Be enrolled in or completed trainings within the Vermont EMD Certification Program.
