Japan is more prepared for future disasters due to communications and annual investments in exercises and drills with local and international partners. Tokyo Disney Resort leveraged private-public partnerships to increase preparedness in employees, guests, business services, critical infrastructure facilities, and government stakeholders to manage future disruptions caused by natural disasters. A private-public partnership helped align business needs and supported risk-information decision-making during a complex, large-scale disaster.

She has responded to several national disasters and is a crisis coach, preparing business and industry leaders for business continuity and disaster response and recovery. Scott Harris is the Director of Security Strategy & Integration and Sensitive Information Protection for the Walt Disney Company. He started his career at the Disneyland Resort in 1985. In addition to his domestic experience, he has participated in four international assignments for the Grand Opening efforts for Disneyland Paris, Tokyo DisneySea, Hong Kong Disneyland, and Shanghai Disney Resort.
